The Beachouse Fiji

A laid back beach house worthy of being a postcard.

Absolute Highlight

The breeze swinging my hammock while I spent the afternoon sipping on beers with friends in the sunshine.

In a nutshell

The design aesthetic is...
rustic beach house.
The typical guest is...
a surfer.
The location is...
second to none, on Fiji’s main island surrounded by palm trees.
Interaction is encouraged by....
all the communal spaces, the surf, and the yoga.
You should stay here because
It is paradise personified.
What took you there?

A group of friends and I wanted to enjoy some time in Fiji after a friend’s wedding at a fancy resort, and I’d heard the Beachhouse was a great way to experience the “real Fiji”.

What was your room like?

We had our own room in one of the freestanding bungalows. It was huge, clean and had plenty of authentic details. But to be honest, we barely spent any time in there as the communal spaces were so comfortable and relaxing, we only went to our room to sleep.

What about the venue

As the name suggests, this place feels more like a friend’s idyllic holiday home than a hostel or hotel. The service is super friendly, helpful and relaxed, as is the atmosphere. A few of us were already sunburnt from before we arrived, so we spent lots of time playing darts, pool, and volleyball under the shade of the palms. There is plenty of room to relax too, I spent most of my time swinging in the hammock between the palm trees while enjoying my book to the soundtrack of the waves lapping onto the beach. Best of all, guests have direct beach access to the crystal clear waters which are perfect for swimming, surfing, snorkeling, SUPing, and soaking up sunsets.

Tell us about the destination

The Beach House is located on Fiji’s main island, only a couple of hours from the airport and away from the touristy areas of Fiji so it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. There aren’t many beaches on the mainland, surprisingly, so this place really is a hidden treasure.

Who did you meet there?
